Pediatric Associates of Richmond

Another great company we work with is 28 Media – a web design and development agency. We created a site for them for Pediatric Associates of Richmond. Each business is different so the design is important since it’s the first thing visitor’s see. Since this was a site geared towards medical care for children, you bet your patootie there would be some customization going on.

More often than not when we design a website for a client, they already have a logo for their business, so it’s our job to take elements of their logo and create a design that complements it. Even if it may not be in the scope of the project to redesign a logo, we can suggest adjusting it to fit the template of the site better. And that was what we were asked to do.

More often than not when we design a website for a client, they already have a logo for their business, so it’s our job to take elements of their logo and create a design that complements it. Even if it may not be in the scope of the project to redesign a logo, we can suggest adjusting it to fit the template of the site better. And that was what we were asked to do.

We used yellow for the slider callout and the secondary blues for the three subcategories. To tie in the yellow we created customized header underlines.  And to tie in the green we used it sparingly and only as a behavioral item when the user hovers over a clickable item.

Other customized elements that went into the design of the website were the icons for the subcategories. You can imagine what sort of images might come up when you try and search icons for lactation so we wanted to make sure we found icons that were warm and engaging.

Another customized item we made were for the body copy headers. We embraced our white space and created a simple image that underlined the header matched the color scheme of our template by adding a larger yellow line to sit right under the thin line.

Colors are always fun to use but its important to use them in harmony. Our goal was to not go wild with the colors but create a cohesive website that was not only fun with pops of blues and yellows but easily navigable. Check out the a couple landing pages with all the elements in context!
